Overhand shots are great at getting to the far side of an obstacle where a Hyzer or Anhyzer are blocked. Less stable discs turn faster, while more stable discs turn slower.
Hold the disc with your thumb inside the rim. Throw it like a ball in an overhand motion. Similar but opposite to the Hammer, the disc will curve out in one direction, then slice back in.
Using a forehand grip, throw the disc like a ball in an overhand motion. The disc will curve out in the opposite direction to a Thumber, then slice back in.
NB: This throw has also been called the "Tomahawk", though we encourage players to use the "Hammer" moniker instead.
Behind an obstacle with a low ceiling that prevents other options?
The forehand roller is a another ground play that you can throw in the opposite direction of a scoober roller.
Discs want to fall toward their top plate when they roll. If you throw it on the opposite angle, it will role for a while in that direction, then gradually turn back as it slows and comes to rest.
