Islands are surrounded by OB and often oddly shaped, balancing risk and reward. Missed shots move to the “Drop Zone” with a penalty. Try a few different shots!
Like a normal hyzer only you drop your arm to create a steeper angle. The back leg kicks out to counterbalance the extreme forward lean.
The grenade lets you throw straight at your target, and have the disc stop dead when it lands. This avoids rollaways or skips into nearby hazards.
Insert the disc between your index and middle fingers, with your index on the underside. Close your index finger on the inside of the rim, then wrap your thumb over top to secure it. Throw this just like you would throw a spike hyzer!
Behind a obstacle with a bit of room to the sides but not too far from the basket?
A Pancake shot is a great way to stick the landing and reduce the chance of a roll.
Plant your toe behind your lie, and stretch out so you are facing out to the side of the obstacle. Holding the disc overhead like a Tomahawk, a light flick will glide down, land, and stop upside down.
